JONATHAN CAIJSEELE IN KELOWNA

My name is Jonathan Caijseele. I live in Belgium with my family. My father’s name is Patrick and my mother’s name is Lysiane. I live always with us and also my sister. Her name is Deborah. It’s my twins’ sister. In my family there is also a dog. It’s a golden retriever. Dogs are one of my favorite pets. I have a dog since I was six. In general, I have more links with my father than my mother. I don’t know why but it’s like that. I do a lot of activity with my father like go see the game of our favorite football team every weekend. Football in Belgium is like soccer in Canada. Our favorite team is Standard de Liège. And with my mother it’s more daily activity. Our family like holidays so we go to differences countries twicd a years. I like my family because they give me love all the time and there are there when I need them. But next to my family there are also my friends. They are also like a family for me. It’s my second family. And I hope that my host family will be my third family in my heart. I do a lot of sport alone but also with my friends. I go to the weight room three times per week when I have the time and I play football with some friends in the street. I need sport. Without sport I can’t live normally. Sports help me to drain my energy but also my stress when I have some big test or a school exam. 

 

I went to school in Brussels. It’s the capital of Belgium. My main subject at school was maths. I like this option because maths is easy for me. After that I also like science but only chemistry and physics because I don’t like biology that much. I don’t have easy with languages but it’s for this reason that I will live one year in Canada. I would like that my English become my second mother language. For me English is the most important language in the world for the work’s world. But it’s not the only reasons. Live in another country it’s one of my childhood dreams. And thanks to my host family because my dream is now possible. I hope that this year with you will be the best experience in my life because it’s not every day that you go to Canada for one year. The host school will be a good point for me because it’s the better way with the host family for speak English and so learn English as soon as possible. The fact that I meet new people and a new culture is very exciting. It’s the first time that I go to America. I hope that what people told me is true and I look forward to living that with my own eyes.
